What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate source of truth and guidance for all aspects of life and faith.

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, provided by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by human effort but is received by trusting in the finished work of Christ.

Holy Ghost

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Ghost, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the repentant believer, and indwells, empowers, and equips believers for godly living and service. We affirm the baptism in the Holy Ghost as an experience distinct from and subsequent to salvation, available to all believers, and evidenced by speaking in tongues.

Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Ghost as enumerated in the New Testament and as manifested in the early church. These gifts are available to believers today for the edification of the church and the work of the ministry.

The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The church is composed of all born-again believers and exists to glorify God by worshiping Him, building up believers, and reaching the world with the gospel.

Ordinances

We believe in the ordinances of water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. Water baptism is an outward sign of an inward change, and the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of Christ’s sacrifice.

Santification

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. Sanctification is both a positional and progressive work of grace, beginning at the moment of salvation and continuing throughout the believer’s life.

The Second Coming

We believe in the blessed hope, the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ to gather His church and establish His millennial kingdom on earth

The Resurrection

We believe that on the third day after His death, Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead on the third day.

The Great Commission

We believe that the fulfillment of the Great Commission is the responsibility of all believers. We are called to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations, making disciples and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
